DIRECT MAIL - MARKETING
We utilized DIRECT MAIL campaigns several times to bolster a larger cume
and to keep the faithful listening longer.

We were able to "pirate" a Pearl Jam concert, print it to CD and give the CD's
away in one of our direct mail campaigns.  The offer of a free BOOTLEG Pearl Jam
CD gave us one of the largest responses to direct mail that has ever been seen.
The song "Better Man" was on this CD and played heavily long before being
released by the band itself.

As happens occasionally, one piece was sent to a competing station employee,
which garnered this friendly response:
Ooops...one of our competing stations received one!

Another direct mail piece let them in on a "song of the day"-type contest.
